How we’ll work together
The 20-30 minutes I spend delivering your ceremony is just the final, piece of a much bigger, beautiful journey we’ll take together. From the moment we connect, I’m dedicated to making the entire process smooth, meaningful, and—most importantly—fun!
I’m all about getting to know you both, weaving your love story into a ceremony that feels truly personal and reflective of who you are. If this sounds like you, let’s chat! Together, we’ll craft something that feels as special as the moment you say ‘I do’.
Here’s exactly how we’ll do it…
-
Once we’ve confirmed I’m available for your date, let’s hop on a relaxed, no-pressure FaceTime. This is a chance for us to get to know each other and see if we truly connect—because when it comes to creating a ceremony that reflects your love, chemistry is everything.
I believe every couple deserves a celebrant who feels like the perfect match. I may not be for everyone, and that’s perfectly fine. My goal is to be your celebrant, bringing that extra spark to one of the most precious moments of your life.
-
If your heart says yes, you can secure your date with a booking fee and I’m all yours!
From our first hello to the moment you say ‘I do,’ I’m here for you. Whether you want to dive into the details or just need a friendly chat, we can connect anytime—whatever makes your journey as effortless and meaningful as possible.
-
About 3-4 months out (or ASAP if your wedding is sooner), we’ll meet up to go over the finer details . If you’re local or happy to venture to me, face-to-face is always best. During this catch-up, we’ll get to know each other even more, sort through the important details (like the NOIM), and map out your dream ceremony. Whether we’re laughing, getting sentimental, or smoothing out any pre-wedding nerves, I’ll be by your side every step of the way.
Shortly after our meeting, I’ll send over a couple’s questionnaire to complete together - with a few secret questions you’ll complete solo. that will help me craft your perfect ceremony.
-
About 1 month out I’ll send your personalised wedding ceremony for review. You’re welcome to make any tweaks up to 2 weeks before the ceremony.
As your wedding day approaches, I recommend a quick Zoom chat within the fortnight before the big day. Instead of a physical rehearsal, this final run-through is all about confirming the practicalities, calming any last-minute nerves, and most importantly, getting you excited for what’s ahead! Remember, on the day, you don’t need to worry about a thing—I’ll be right there, guiding you every step of the way.
-
I’ll arrive on-site about an hour before your ceremony to make sure everything is just right. From setting up and sound-checking my PA to connecting with your photographer and other key vendors, it’s all about creating the perfect atmosphere. I’ll also find time to give each of you a final hug and a reassuring ‘you’ve got this!’
When it’s time to begin, if I’ve done my job right, you’ll be beaming from ear to ear, and maybe even shed a happy tear or two, all because the ceremony is uniquely yours. And before you know it, you’ll find yourselves joyfully, officially, and beautifully married.
-
Within just a few days after your ceremony, I’ll take care of lodging your paperwork with Births, Deaths, and Marriages to officially register your marriage.
You’ll receive a follow-up email from me detailing how to apply for your BDM marriage certificate, if you need it. This document is separate from the Commonwealth marriage certificate you’ll take home on your wedding day, and it’s essential if you decide to change your name. Please note that BDM currently charges $54.40 + postage for this certificate, and it usually arrives in the mail about 4-6 weeks after your wedding.
As you bask in newlywed bliss, just know that I’ll be just as thrilled to have played a part in your special day. Your love story is a treasure, and I’m honoured to have been there to witness it.
